Bedtime Story with Daddy

Daddy was in charge of Jake Monday night and this is the bedtime story they read before he went to bed. Jake was the one who got the 'Football' book off of the shelf and Daddy was quick to want to read it to him. Jake has such a love for football right now. I even had to miss part of the Batchelor because Jake kept telling me to turn it to football. When football season is over I guess we're going to have to rely on Football Classics for Jake to watch during the off season.

USC vs. Mississippi State

Another fun weekend of tailgating and football. Nana and Pop were back and we were all glad about that! Friday night Nana, Pop, Jamie, Jake and I all went to the Okra Strut in Irmo. This was the first time Jake had been on any kind of ride and he loved it...especially the part when the ride would go up in the air. Hopefully that means fun days ahead for all of us at Carowinds.
GAME DAY started early with 2 kids in the camper. Jake couldn't start the day without giving Emily a big hug.Aunt Suzanne posted on her BLOG that it was a sad weekend for her because Jake was wanting to be with Aunt Tonya alot. But if you ask me it looks like Aunt Suzanne is still LOVED.

We forgot Jake's tailgating chair but it didn't take him long to find a Gamecock seat just right for him and Emily. And when Emily started to get fussy, Jake knew exactly what to do...always go for the pappy.
Nana decided to stay in the camper with the kids while we all went into the game. It was nap time when the game started and Nana did her job of getting Jake to sleep. 1st thing was to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Here is Jake explaining to Emily what's going on.
While Jake slept Emily entertained Nana and when Emily went to sleep Jake was wide eyed and ready to play.

The ABC's by Mama and Jake

USC vs. SC State

Another weekend tailgating. Nana and Pop went on a trip so it was up to the kids to take care of everything. Guess you don't realize how much Nana and Pop put into setting up and cleaning the camper each week so THANKS FOR ALL YALL DO!! Luckily we had Brian to help and knew what all had to be done....couldn't have done it without you!

Jake proudly wore his Tiger sticker again this week. There's already talk about what he's going to be wearing at the USC/Clemson game.

This was Emily's 1st time tailgating. Can't wait to see you again next week Emily!!Aunt Suzanne, Aunt Tonya, Auggie Dogg, and Uncle Brian surprised Jake with his own tailgating chair. We were glad to see Jake be nice enough to share...(if only for a minute).
Jamie and Jake took on the job as babysitters to give Tonya and John a chance to actually watch the game. Here's the place they thought would be best for Emily to sleep.
....."And I'm still alive."
Maybe Auggie Dogg should ask Jake where to put Emily!

Big Boy Bed

Jamie and I finally converted Jake's crib to a toddler bed. He would climb on and off over and over again. Doing it himself was probably the most exciting part.
THANK YOU Nana and Pop for the new bedding!!

The Yota turned 200,000

Just had to post it!!

Sunday at Grandmama and Papa's House

Sunday we went to Grandmama and Papa's house and while we were there Jake made sure to take a ride on the tractor.

While he was riding he talked..talked..

...and talked some more!

Uncle Brian was the one who got the tractor from the shed so of course he had to ride around with him as well.

The car ride on the way home got pretty entertaining. Leave it up to Aunt Suzanne and Daddy to come up with fun things to do in the car.

USC vs. Louisiana-Lafayette

Saturday kicked off the 2007 USC football season. After lunch we all went shopping for USC gear. While the rest were shopping Jake took Daddy aside to discuss some reasons why he thinks Daddy should be a Gamecock.

Jake seems to think it worked!

Phish, Vicky and Debra Norman met up with us later that day.

Here's a picture of the kids from 2006 and one from last weekend. Amazing how fast they grow.
