Boo at the Zoo

We took Jake to Boo at the Zoo with the Foldings and the Reeves family and had a great time.
It was Jake's 1st time with Trick-or-Treating so he didn't have a clue how it worked.
After showing Jake many times his conclusion was to get a piece of candy and eat it on the way to the next station.

YUMMY!!!
Which way do we go now?
The 'bubbles' were a great hit with the kids. They could have stayed in there all night

The boys had so much fun being together. They were so cute just to watch.

After we made our way back to the front of the zoo, Luke picked out a toy for Lance to buy....sucker!!...just kidding..we were definitely jealous. Luke was very nice to share his toy with Jake.
By the end of the night there were only 4 pieces of candy in his basket so that meant there was a lot more in his belly! Needless to say it was a late night in the Jester household. He was great entertainment before bed with the help of some sugar so it was all worth it.

Family Pictures

We traveled to McCormick last night to take family photos at the lake. It was nice and can't wait to see the end results. Jake and Emily did great except for a few distractions that Jake couldn't help but stop and look....boats and (can you believe it) a bobcat one lot over!! The lake is now down 10 feet leaving plenty of red dirt for Jake to play in. The slideshow has snapshots while people were waiting and even some of the poses. Of course these are very raw photos so certainly don't judge by my pictures. Hopefully I'll be able to post some of the final results.

2007 State Fair

We took Jake to the State Fair Wendesday night. He loved all of the lights and really loved the animals. We didn't ride any rides because of the lines but he seemed just as happy to stand back and watch :) Jake was really excited watching people 'fish' and it didn't take long for Daddy to give in and let Jake have a try. He needed a little help but not much.
His prize was an armadillo. It was small but he loved it. When he got home he had to go show everybody his 'prize'!!

Bedtime Story with Daddy

Daddy was in charge of Jake Monday night and this is the bedtime story they read before he went to bed. Jake was the one who got the 'Football' book off of the shelf and Daddy was quick to want to read it to him. Jake has such a love for football right now. I even had to miss part of the Batchelor because Jake kept telling me to turn it to football. When football season is over I guess we're going to have to rely on Football Classics for Jake to watch during the off season.

USC vs. Mississippi State

Another fun weekend of tailgating and football. Nana and Pop were back and we were all glad about that! Friday night Nana, Pop, Jamie, Jake and I all went to the Okra Strut in Irmo. This was the first time Jake had been on any kind of ride and he loved it...especially the part when the ride would go up in the air. Hopefully that means fun days ahead for all of us at Carowinds.
GAME DAY started early with 2 kids in the camper. Jake couldn't start the day without giving Emily a big hug.Aunt Suzanne posted on her BLOG that it was a sad weekend for her because Jake was wanting to be with Aunt Tonya alot. But if you ask me it looks like Aunt Suzanne is still LOVED.

We forgot Jake's tailgating chair but it didn't take him long to find a Gamecock seat just right for him and Emily. And when Emily started to get fussy, Jake knew exactly what to do...always go for the pappy.
Nana decided to stay in the camper with the kids while we all went into the game. It was nap time when the game started and Nana did her job of getting Jake to sleep. 1st thing was to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Here is Jake explaining to Emily what's going on.
While Jake slept Emily entertained Nana and when Emily went to sleep Jake was wide eyed and ready to play.
