Nap time...
We spent most of Easter weekend in McCormick but made it back home for Easter at our church. We really love going there and love seeing everybody. Jake was so nice that he got together some of the Easter candy and shared with his special friends at church. Below are a couple of pictures...a couple...didn't do a good job with pictures at all. :(

Jamie and Jake took a trip to Atlanta on Saturday just to let Jake experience flying. They flew from Charlotte to Atlanta and back to Charlotte. We have been counting down the days and when it finally got here he didn't know what to do with himself. He loved the entire process but Jamie said that his face when they were about to take off for the first time was totally priceless!!! Below are some great pictures...thanks to Jamie for making sure he got enough for a photo book!! :)

As many of you know, Jamie, Jake, and I are going to add to our family through adoption, hopefully a boy Jake's age. It's something that Jamie and I talked about even before getting married. We're about half way through the process and so excited for what's to come. We talk to Jake about it often and he knows that he will be the brother. Yesterday our next door neighbor delivered a beautiful baby girl. That means Jake's best friend Isaac is a Big Brother. All Jake has been talking about since we told him Isaac's sister was born was what a great Big Brother he is going to be. Here is a conversation between Jake and his older friend Carson.
Jake: "I'm gonna get a baby brother"
Carson: "Really? When?"
Jake: "When we find one."

Tonight was awards night at gym. Isaac and Jake both got one and they are so proud to show it off.

All of the kids can't wait to get their stamp at the end of class...on both hands and both feet.
We did it. Jake talked to Santa!! I'm so happy that he finally asked Santa for his "truck that McQueen comes out of". He didn't want to sit in his lap but he didn't have to. I was just proud that he spoke to him.

Today we went to EdVenture to see the BIG trucks. I mentioned going to Jake Friday and by Saturday morning I hoped he had forgotten. 1st thing out of his mouth when he woke up..."When are we going to see the big trucks?" Luckily Jamie was able to go with us. We all had a great time together!
We hope this is the ONLY time this happens...
