HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Today Jamie and I have been married 4 years. Amazing how time flies. So many things have happened over the past 4 years, including building a house in a great neighborhood, meeting our awesome-awesome friends, welcomed Emily into the family, and the best of all...having JAKE! There have also been some devestating situations that I would have never thought we would have to go through but God has blessed us in so many ways and is continuously making us stonger.

When Jake was born Kayce didn't want to be bothered with the new addition. Jake tries to play with her but she lets him know she doesn't want anything to do with him. This only makes Jake want to get in her face more. This is a great example of the 2 of them together. She could care less about playing with him and he just wants to get in her face. Always testing his limits!

A Great Weekend...

Aunt Suzanne came last Thursday night to stay with us until MONDAY (never fails if Jamie can help it). We all had a lot of fun as usual.

Jake got to play outside all day on Friday (after lunch at Grouchos of course).

Saturday we met up with Anna and Noah to watch a movie (Horton Hears a Who) but first had to grab a bite at Chick-fil-a and play on the playground.

Sunday we all got together to celebrate Grandmama's 81st birthday. Jake even helped make the birthday cake! John wasn't able to come but we know we will see him soon.

At the Playground Again...

Yesterday morning was cloudy and kind of cold so we went to Chick-fil-a to play on the playground.
We found out that Chickfila has a better playground because he can actually climb up and not have to crawl up the slide to get to the top.
Snotty nose, hair a mess, his 'Gary' shirt is wet from his drink BUT WAIT....his pants are actually the right length!! woo-hoo!!!
This little girl chased Jake all over the playground. She even ran over to me to tell me that he was cute :)

After a potty trip Jake didn't want his pants back on. He gathered up some trucks and his seat to eat his snack.

A Rainy Weekend

Even though the weekend was a wet one we still made it outside to play.

Sunday we played with Ryan and Faith all day. Getting ice cream at McDonalds and playing on the playground was so much fun.
(I was VERY upset that I left my camera at home but I did get this one shot on my cell phone.)

Happy Easter!

Easter Day was a crazy day this year with everything that was going on but we were able to still make it to Grandmama & Papa's house for lunch with the family.

We had to pack and leave the house so quickly on Friday and I was going to make sure Jake had his Easter basket even though he might not be at home Easter morning. We ended up taking Jake back to Chapin with us Saturday night and guess where the Easter basket was....still at Nana & Pop's house!! I couldn't believe it after all of that hard work but luckily Nana & Pop remembered to bring it with them to Grandmama & Papa's house. I don't think I will be able to get away with that after this year but it all worked out.

It was a beautiful day to play outside and that's exactly what Jake and Emily wanted to do.

Loves the Window

Jake has never had a window that could be rolled down while he's riding. The explorer was a 2 door and back in 1991 power windows must have been a luxury :) I didn't really think about how Jake would like to ride with the wind in his face. Well, he loves it! Here are a few pictures from the other day...

A couple of turns later I looked back there and he had his shoe hanging out of the window. I didn't reach for the camera this time and just went ahead and pulled over. Now we move everything (even his shoes) out of his reach when he wants the window down.
