Jake's Trip to Charlotte

Jake went to Charlotte with Nana Monday and has been gone all week. He made it back home yesterday and we were so excited to see him. Nana was nice enough to take Jake with her so he didn't have to spend every night at the hospital with us. He always has a great time in Charlotte and this time was no different. I think he was able to do whatever he wanted and that's the way it should be! All he did was talk about his trip when he got home. Thanks Nana, Auggie Dogg, Aunt Tonya and Aunt Suzanne for all of the help!

When Nana picked up Jake I told her that I wouldn't be upset if he came home with his hair cut...and I wasn't! Gary has been the only person that Jake would let cut his hair and that was out of the question as of last week. He was nice enough to say he would do it when he got home but Jake's hair was already out of control. Suzanne and Nana took him to a place just for kids (wish we had one here) and said he didn't say a word. I wouldn't believe that he wore the cape if I didn't see it for myself.

Afterwards was lunch at McDonalds and a trip to Target for a toy. I love to hit the $1 toys at the front of the store but you know that isn't good enough for Nana. He got his own MyPod and LOVES it. He keeps it right beside him at all times. THANKS NANA!

We Need Your Prayers...

Our best friend Gary was in an accident last Wednesday and is still in ICU as of today. I'm writing this post to ask for your prayers! There have been may things for him to overcome while in the hospital and has a long road to recovery. Please pray for Gary and his family during this time.

We love you Gary and can't wait for you to GET WELL SOON!!

Japanese Please...

(This post is especially for Aunt Suzanne)

Last night we went to Yamatos for dinner. Jake has been there when he was very young so this was the first real experience for him. If you ask him where he went for dinner he will go through a long conversation and end it with FIRE! (not understand much other then the word fire).

Trying to hold it right.

GOT IT!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Today Jamie and I have been married 4 years. Amazing how time flies. So many things have happened over the past 4 years, including building a house in a great neighborhood, meeting our awesome-awesome friends, welcomed Emily into the family, and the best of all...having JAKE! There have also been some devestating situations that I would have never thought we would have to go through but God has blessed us in so many ways and is continuously making us stonger.

Jake and Kayce

When Jake was born Kayce didn't want to be bothered with the new addition. Jake tries to play with her but she lets him know she doesn't want anything to do with him. This only makes Jake want to get in her face more. This is a great example of the 2 of them together. She could care less about playing with him and he just wants to get in her face. Always testing his limits!

A Great Weekend...

Aunt Suzanne came last Thursday night to stay with us until MONDAY (never fails if Jamie can help it). We all had a lot of fun as usual.

Jake got to play outside all day on Friday (after lunch at Grouchos of course).

Saturday we met up with Anna and Noah to watch a movie (Horton Hears a Who) but first had to grab a bite at Chick-fil-a and play on the playground.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMAMA!!
Sunday we all got together to celebrate Grandmama's 81st birthday. Jake even helped make the birthday cake! John wasn't able to come but we know we will see him soon.

At the Playground Again...

Yesterday morning was cloudy and kind of cold so we went to Chick-fil-a to play on the playground.
We found out that Chickfila has a better playground because he can actually climb up and not have to crawl up the slide to get to the top.
Snotty nose, hair a mess, his 'Gary' shirt is wet from his drink BUT WAIT....his pants are actually the right length!! woo-hoo!!!
This little girl chased Jake all over the playground. She even ran over to me to tell me that he was cute :)

After a potty trip Jake didn't want his pants back on. He gathered up some trucks and his seat to eat his snack.
Bailey looking for any "lost" snack!

We had a great afternoon and can't wait to do it again!!

A Rainy Weekend

Even though the weekend was a wet one we still made it outside to play.

Sunday we played with Ryan and Faith all day. Getting ice cream at McDonalds and playing on the playground was so much fun.
(I was VERY upset that I left my camera at home but I did get this one shot on my cell phone.)

Playing with Luke

Luke and Jake went to play on the playground after school. It's always fun when Luke's around!

If one was going up the other one was coming down. Couldn't get it straight to get a picture together. On their way up the slide.Jake jumping; Luke pivoting.Watching the train.
