Our weekend...6/21/08

Friday night we saw KUNG FU PANDA!! Ms. Pat, Mr. Jamie, Ashley, and Micheal met us there but didn't make it in time for ice cream :(

Jake didn't sit still the whole time but he still got to see it all. Luckily it wasn't crowded so he was able to walk around some.

Sunday
Jake helped Daddy during the service. After all of the music Jake asked to go to his church. At least he likes going!
Later on that afternoon we went SWIMMING! Gary and Michelle came by right before we left and pulled Jake to the pool.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!

Jamie has been wanting a tool tower for a long time and this was the perfect occasion. It's so hard to find any help in stores but Jake and I got lucky and was able to find somebody within 5 minutes. After only 1 minute with the guy, Jake had to go potty!! Talk about timing!! When we got back from the potty the guy was still there...thank goodness.

And the best gift of all is being blessed to spend another day together.

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY EMILY!!

Our precious Emily turned 1 today!! She had her birthday party at Nana and Pop's house at the lake. We stayed all weekend but wished it could have lasted longer.

Another Fun Weekend

We had another fun filled weekend. We did almost everything outside so it was very hot but not too much will keep Jake indoors these days.

Friday we went to Ms. Pat's house to play with Lucy and Rico. Jake always loves playing with them and it almost makes you want to take them home....almost! I was glad he wanted to see them because it got very hot riding the bobcat and playing in the dirt piles.
Saturday was Gary's birthday! When it was time to go to his 'party', Jake gathered up everything he wanted to take with him. INCLUDING putting on this hat in 100+ weather.Gary and Jake ready to eat cake!
Sunday, after lunch Jake gave Jamie his fathers day gift early, a tool tower that of course needed to be put together,(because we will be gone to celebrate Emily's 1st birthday next weekend) so we went in the garage to play/clean up and 'organize'. Sorry, but his pants didn't go back on after going to the potty and who could blame him in that kind of heat.After Jake's nap we went swimming in the pool. He could have stayed there all night.

Fun in the Sun

Last weekend Mike called and said he bought Jake a slip-n-slide. When we got home it was already set up and ready to go. Thanks Mike and Joee for all of the new toys!!

After playing in the yard we went to the pool. This was Laney's first time and she really had fun.

Jake was so excited to go back to slide again sometimes he wouldn't even make it down to the pool of water. I'm very glad he didn't screen like this the whole time!

Memorial Day weekend at the Lake

It was great to be able to get away for a few days and go to the lake and relax. This was the first time Jamie and I have been there this summer but since Jake has already been there a couple times he was excited to show us everything he keeps talking about. He showed us the water, the boat and was the first to go swimming. Grandmama and Papa came Sunday for lunch and like always it was great to spend time with them. Each morning when Jamie and I woke up, everybody was already down at the dock enjoying the water and watching Madison, Bailey, and Caroline swim.

WELCOME HOME GARY!!

Gary is coming home TODAY!!
He still has weeks of recovery ahead of him but at least he will be home!! :)

Thanks again for all of your prayers and phone calls. We are thankful everyday that God has blessed us with such great friends. God is so good!!

Shopping at Target

Jake and I went shopping at Target last night! It didn't take us long to make it to the toy aisle and it took even less time for Jake to spot a dump truck he would push around. He took it off of the shelf like it was his and he was able to start shopping. Luckily I was able to get the expensive things out of the truck and convince him to get some of the cheaper toys.
He pushed the truck like this for 1 solid hour...

He must have gotten tired the last 10 minutes we were there because he decided he wanted to ride instead of push. Once we started going this slow I knew it was time to wrap it up and head home.
